Are holiday companies honest about availability?

Just that really, on many sites they say there is '1 room left'. So if I looked in March would there suddenly be little choice?

I've heard contrasting things about this - most holiday companies say that really is it but a friend who works for one of the big high street travel names said that they sometimes release more later. I think it depends on the destination and often they won't know until the last minute so it's a bit like Russian roulette really!

Thanks mummmccar. I did wonder if they release more later because once I got a popular holiday with a free child place in May.

We want to go for 10 days and there seems to be fewer of these holidays.
