I have spent weeks now going round and round in circles have gone started off with Owners Direct private villas to either get a no booked reply or available to horrid looking ones

Have actually decided a complex is good for me - as I think I would feel caged in a little pool. DH doesnt like the big hotel scenerio...so please can anybody help as we are going in 4 months and I have so much to do yet

Thanks

We went to orlando dec 2011. we stayed at Sunset lakes which was 10 mins from the disney parks. had our own pool and looked out onto a huge lake with all the wildlife. this was a much better area to stay in that by the main I road as you didnt get caught in the traffic. Indian creek/indian ridge area. also suggest you buy the unofficial guide to WDW with kids 2012 - it became a bible for us. we used VRBO.com and Villas2000.com website and found plenty of choice here once we had narrowed the area down. if you do go for sunset lakes make sure it has a lake view though as some don't. good luck and pm me for further info.

When are you going? If easter it will be harder to find somewhere as a lot of people book 12 to 18 months in advance for easter.
Have you tried this one? www.ownersdirect.co.uk/usa/f1895.htm

Although it has a private pool it is in a nice residential area that has a community pool too.

If this doesn't suit or not available for your dates, have a look at Loyalty Homes, a company owned by an English lady who now lives out there. she only manages luxury properties within 4 miles of Disney. Although she mostly has villas, she has recently taken on some apartments in complexes so might have something to suit you.

That villa a bit old fashioned.
Saw some great ones on loyaltyusa

Hi Just read your blog we have just come back before the crazy spring break but we always book with www.ownersrentals.com we go to the same place every year or have done for the last three years. It?s in a gated community really safe for the kids and minutes from everywhere. It?s in Kissimmee and its property number 2220 on the ownersrentals.co site, the owners name is Kevin. Really nice guy and always gives us a deal.

We've just come back from a stay in Orlando at this place:

www.villarenters.com/Advert.aspx?ref=12006

We were with some friends and even then the house was too big - 7 bedrooms! But the pool was small. It was on a gated community which was nice and it had lots of local shops and restaurants and a clubhouse with shared pool and other facilities.

We only stayed in the house part of the time when we were doing the non-Disney parks. When we did the Disney parks we stayed in the Animal Kingdom Lodge which I can highly recommend. We then did a Disney cruise to the Bahamas.

I usually prefer private pools but on this occasion I preferred the shared pool at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I would think about how much you will be out on about and whether you really need a big pool. We spent most days at one or other of the parks and didn't make the best use of either the villa or the Animal Kingdom Lodge because we were out and about for long days.

We nearly always use VRBO. We rent a house with its own pool & spa, but on a gated community which has 2 big pools for residents' use as well as their own.

We tend to go for same area, different houses.

We stayed here Rosie Leas last year & it was fantastic. There were 8 of us, 5 adults, 2 kids 1 teenager & it was plenty big enough for us all. Its about 20 mins from Disney & 10 mins to downtown Kissimee, very quiet & feels really safe. The owners live in Essex so really easy to contact them & send payment etc. Would love to go again - we are going back to Florida later this year but as it is only me, dp & ds we arw staying in a hotel on International Drive.
