Marrakech with 6 month old baby - tips/recommendations?

We are going to Marrakech in March when DD will be 6 months old. Have confirmed with hotel that they have a travel cot. Planning on taking both sling and pushchair. DD is currently EBF, but will possibly be weaning by then.

Any general travel advice? Or, 'must avoids' for Marrakech with a baby?

TIA!

Where are you staying? In the old town or in a resort? I loved it but, I dont think the old town is buggy friendly!

We're staying 10mins drive from the Medina.... Was thinking of only taking sling but then colleague mentioned it would be handy to have buggy to put her down in if eating or whatever.

She will feel safer in a sling. I dont think the Medina is buggy friendly. Its total chaos, I cant even begin to describe it. Make sure you visit the Majorelle Gardens as they are very peacefull. Are you all inclusive? There are some lovely hotels there.

We only took a sling - buggy completely pointless.

Dont attempt to climb the waterfalls out in the valley with a baby - it was terrifying, the sightseeing bus is rubbish too, dont stand behind a caleche either as the horse can back the carriage into you

The Moroccans love babies and it really opened doors for us and we didnt have any hassle at all.

Majorelle Gardens are a must do as is the cafe in the middle of the medina. And the fixed price tourist shop - that was fab, I bought so much...

I never saw a fixed price shop, where was that?

The buggy will be handy if you are a hotel complex.

It is near the Sultans Tombs and the posh spa that I also cant remember the name of - this may not be the most informative post I have ever written.

I went to that posh spa. I cant remember the name either. It was an experience to say the least!

I must have walk right passed the fixed price shops.

the one up the alleyway? I thought I would give it another go after a frightening experience in Fes. I know now that having grim faced people wash me very thoroughly isnt for me. Though I know other people think its the bees knees.

Anyway the fixed price shop is continuing up that main road with the tombs on the right. It undoubtedly more expensive than the souk so if you're ok with haggling then do it but I'm not very good at it and beautiful leather satchels were still SO cheap,
