Babysitters in Nice, France

Can anyone recommend an English-speaking babysitter or agency in Nice that isn't extortionately expensive? We have been quoted 20 euros an hour by one agency; no nice meal out is worth that amount! Any advice appreciated: we are there for a few days in March and just want someone to sit in our hotel room whilst our baby sleeps in the adjoining room.

Is it an option for you to take baby with you for the meal if you can't find a baby sitter? Or is it a very posh meal out? It's really common in France to take babies into restaurants in the evening. So if you think your baby will be OK and just sleep, or sit quietly and smile don't worry about taking them to the restaurant.

I really don't want to- whole point is to enjoy a nice meal out with my husband ;-)
