London birthday party for 1 year old?

Please help! My DS is turning 1 in march and I want to organise a lovely party for him. It will be mainly adults (10-15)with just a few kids as he doesn't really have kiddy friends at the moment, and it's more for us to celebrate with our close friends. Our home is waaay too small to have more than a handful of people over.

I was thinking of hackney city farm but their age doesn't take reservations and I don't want him to get fussy if there's a delay seating us...

Any suggestions for a place where he can see animals and we can get a decent meal for the adults??

well it's not Central London but we went to Hainault Country Park last week for first time and there is a super farm there - lovely countryside for games then a lovely gastro pub a few minutes drive away called the two brewers. We ended up in a Covent Garden pub for our dd's first birthday party and smollensky's on the Strand for her 2nd birthday!

and the two brewers pub has a private dining room that could be booked to...

I used to ride at Mudchute. Haven't ever been to the cafe because my riding lesson was before it opened (didn't think the "travelling through Canary Wharf underground station, with a bag of riding kit, at 8am thing through). Might be worth a look?
