babies on a flybe plane

I am going to call customer services tomorrow to check but wondering if anyone here knows...

I am flying flybe tomorrow with my 4m old baby.

i have just gone to online checking and it seems i have to choose a seat for both me and her...
(I assumed i would get just 1 seat)

Now my babies car seat (britax) is approved for use on aeroplanes, and has the certification etc.... could i take her car seat and have her travel in her car seat, on the plane (ideally including during take off and landing)

will she have a seat?

I didnt think tiny babies got seats

(incidently i was not planning on taking her car seat, as i am borowing a friends car seat at my destination, but if i could, i would rather she traveled in her seat)

No with flybe you don't get a seat for a child until they are two. Also the paying for an allocated seat is if you want to choose a seat before you check in. If you don't choose a seat they will allocate you one at check in - there is no easyjet scrum for seats.

Live in the Scottish islands & ds first flew flybe at 6 days old coming home from hospital.

Yes their website is awful - designed to confuse & cost customers money!
