We are planning our honeymoon for April 06 (without kids). Sandals resorts in Caribbean look good has any one been there?

I was at the Ocho Rios resort in Jamaica about 6 years ago. Thought it was great - very relaxing and hassle-free. Their packages have gotten increasingly expensive over the years so not sure if it is still as great a "bargain" as I remember.

Went to St Lucia in 1999 -fantastic!!! they now have built another one there so you can eat out at all 3! We loved it and would go back if we had any money!

Had my honeymoon at Sandals Antigua and it was dreadful. Paid for beachfront room and got stuck in the shrubbery with no view of sea. First night the water from the room upstair's bath poured through onto me while I was in our bath. No lightbulbs in bedroom sockets, minibar not wired in so nothing was cold. Food was poor, staff were grumpy. We complained as we'd spent a lot on the holiday and got upgraded, but in the end we just had to laugh it off and chalk it up to experience. There are some lovely couples only hotels in Antigua that are much nicer - Blue Waters for a start.

Thanks you. Have booked new sandals resort in Cuba. Fingers crossed that it won't be like K7's trip.

Paid £3,000 for 2 people all inclusive for 7 nights. The diffeence in prices between travel agents for same package was massive, pays to surf around. I have never been on a beach holiday before, prior to kids I went to places like Mongolia. But just want a rest physicaly and mentally so sandals sounds ideal.

I'm sure you'll be fine. I gather the resorts can vary hugely. If you need to check a hotel, the tripadvisor website is a good way of seeing what recent guests have said. Have fun!
