Family friendly hotel on Scottish east coast

Looking at booking a long weekend around the Inverness area for DH, myself and DS(4). I was thinking of booking a couple of nights at a small hotel we've stayed at before on Loch Ness which will be pure relaxation and vegging out with some gentle strolls around the area etc. I thought it would be nice (as we'll be travelling from London, possibly by car!) to add on a couple of nights in a larger hotel with a swimming pool etc for DS. We did a similar trip a few years ago but travelled to Cameron House at Loch Lomond. It was a longer drive than we realised and this trip will be shorter. Can anyone recommend something similar but in the Inverness (ish!) area?

I forget the name now of the big hotel in Aviemore but it is the only one so you could google it to find it.

If you have a car and are driving back to London then I'd suggest may be coming a bit further South and seeing St Andrews. Lovely hotels and beaches for good walks etc.
