help - where do I find a cheap short break for DP and me

Embarrassingly, DP is the whizz at finding cheap holidays and I don't know where to start looking. I want to book us a couple of nights away (am thinking European city) next month - it's our wedding anniversary and we both desperately need a treat and some time on our own. I want it to be a surprise so don't want to ask for his help.

Can anyone get me started on good websites for Feb bargains? Was thinking Amsterdam, berlin or maybe Seville.

I would book the flights and acc. separately - flights ryanair/easyjet and accommodation on www.octopustravel.com. Both times I have used octopus (palermo and stockholm) I have had lovely hotels for a reasonable price.

or you could try teletext holidays website. Might even be worth checking out travel agent windows for berlin - I know I have seen cheap breaks to berlin advertised in the past.

tryskyscanners you can put in the weekend that you want and it will bring up the cheapest flights to a variety of destinations.

Try flightchecker you can look for flights under eg £5 from your local airport between certain dates.
