No, but we have had loads of Parkdean holidays, and they have all been great, its a very good company and very family orientated, have a good time if you decide to go

Oh good, sounds like what we are looking for.
It is one of the parks you can choose for the holidays in The Sun.

excellent! did you get a good deal then?

nutcracker · 19/01/2006 09:30

Haven't booked it yet, but it will work out to about £100 for 5 of us for mon-fri in may or june.

Blimey ! That sounds like a bargain, nutty

nutcracker · 19/01/2006 09:48

A may week will be £102.50 in total and a june week £130 i think.

I wasn't going to book one with the sun because the extra charges pee me off, but it is still cheaper than booking with the site direct.

Will fill it in today and get it sent off

What a bargain. Definitely book it, Dorset is really lovely and you will have loads to do down here.

Lacrimosa · 19/01/2006 10:15

sounds great, I hope you all have a wonderluff time¬!

nutcracker · 19/01/2006 11:21

If you book actually through them the prices are quite reasonable too.

We have only selected one date choice and one park choice with the sun, so if we don't get it i think we will book with them direct anyway.

I havent been there but I used to live near and there are some lovely places to visit. Monkeyworld, tank museum, lullworth cove and duddle door, cerne giant, weymouth and portland bill. Ooh its making me homesick!

We went there with the express deal last year. its got a child friendly swim pool (chute suitable for about age 5 up i should think, lifeguards a bit whistle happy, but friendly), soft play area with seating for parents nearby, bits for toddlers and older ones, great fun, also roller skating and dry ski slope (activities there for kids about 4+). Nice cafe/restaurant (its a costa coffee one) bar area is a bit smoky. They do kids groups free for an hour each morning in the bar area for each different age range (parents have to stay for the youngest group)i.e. music/toys/art.
The lodges are quite nice, they come in bronze silver and gold standard - we were told we could get anything from a bronze one bedroom (sofa pulls out to accommodate the other two people - i presume the sun offer is also for 4 people?) upwards, we actually were really lucky and got a three bedroom silver one, so the dd's had a twin bedroom each - i think it would have been tricky with just one bedroom tho. The bedrooms were quite spacios, the kitchen had most things. Some other people i chatted to there were really disappointed with it because they had no car and its a bit out of town, but i think they were a bit grumpy anyway. any particular questions? we thought it was quite good for the price. there's a lovely childrens farm to visit 8 miles from weymouth at abbotsbury (near the swannery)

Sounds fantastic JC. We wondered about the accomodation too, as we would prefer a 3 bed lodge rather than me and dp sleeping in the lounge. There will be 5 of us so hopefully we will get a 3 bed.

Am excited now LOL
