Bel La Tranche sur mer - anyone been?

Campsite/caravans in the Vendee - found it on Eurocamps and it looks just what I'm after. BUT would like to know a) if very noisy at night and b) can we fly? I'm thinking La Rochelle is nearest - anyone done this? Any other feedback would be great.

We went a few years ago. Nice site, don't remember it being noisy at night but I do remember that the pool wasn't heated.

La Rochelle would be the nearest Airport, but you would then need to hire a car.

We stayed there last year with DS, 4 and DD 1. Quiet at night after 10pm, that is the rule and it was adhered to for the month we were there. Very nice, especially if you have young kids.

Search the camping forum - I have answered some threads about it in there, giving quite a bit of information.

We drove with our own stuff, but did meet people there who had flown into la Rochelle and hired a car. It worked well for them, La Rochelle is about 1-1.5 hours drive away, easy roads.
