Having our first family abroad holiday in June with DD's who will then be 2.1 and almost 4.
Flying with EasyJet.
Anything I should know? Any survival tips?

Pack the Calpol in the handluggage, Not. The. Hold. Luggage.

dd is almost 15 with many foreign holidays under her belt, but that's the lesson from the first one I'll never forget!

Pack spare outfits for your DC in your hand luggage.

Portable DVD player / tablet / laptop for watching films, etc would be a real help.

Thanks for the reply's.

DH and I both have Ipads so both of those will be filled with Kiddy apps and episodes of Peppa pig. Ive just got the girls headphones each so we dont have to hear it too! :)

Reading a different thread do the girls need a different kid of seat belt to the normal flight lap belts? Nothing was mentioned when we booked the flights.

No, they don't need an extra seatbelt. You can buy them but I thought ours was a waste of money.

No they will both have their own seat and normal lap belts. Make sure you get to gate early so you board before the masses and sit together.

Non messy snacks in little packets;
one of those pens that has different coloured biros you push down at the top (easy for colouring etc and you don't spend the final 20 mins of flight under seats all of the plane looking for crayons that got away!);
we always take a lolly per child for take off and landing so that they're sucking which helps release air pressure - small size as sugar rushes in confined spaces aren't much fun!

You'll have a ball Grin
