Canary Island recommendations please

Can anyone please recommend accommodation or areas to stay in the Canary Islands. Looking for self catering (villas or complexes), pool onsite and within 5/10 mins beach, restaurants and a few shops. DD doesn't travel well so if it's within an hour of airport so much the better.

Also, if anyone knows of anywhere particularly nice to visit I'd be interested in that - things for kids, nice villages, beaches, tourist attractions.
