Infant Seat on BA- Any Feedback

Hi,

Flying from London to Sydney in Feb with my 14 month old and was considering flying BA so that we could use this seat rather than the bassinet. Has anyone ever used them ? Were they available and easy to get ? He should be ok weight wise so it more an availability issue ( I think he may be a bit too big for a regular bassinet and can't really afford to buy him a seat of his own).

Appreciate any info,

Thanks

Hi, we used them a few times when DC3 and 4 were younger. They are really good as they strap onto the fold down bit that the normal bassinet goes on.

You need to check the weight restriction though. DC4 was around 19 months old when last used one but a rather small/light baby for age. You need to ensure you book the bassinet when you book your flights but they don't always guarantee the bassinet. Also recommend checking again a few weeks before departure and checking again when you check in to make sure you have the right row as they only go on the bulkhead.

IMO they are brilliant. We used them on ba when ds was small and he slept soundly in it. Initially we were going to ask for a bassinet when we got on board as we didn't like the look of it but ds slept for 11 hours of the 12 hour flight perfectly.
