I have no idea where to start! We have not been able to afford to go away before (apart from 3 nights very wet camping last August) but this year we can and I have no idea where to go or how to look.

Looking at 10 nights from 2nd June (kids have two inset days after half term). Would like somewhere with nice weather but not stifling, don't mind villa or hotel, not all inclusive, kids club is fine but not too bothered, stuff to do in the area would be nice (waterpark, theme park etc), nice beaches, good pool.

Budget is about £2000 - any ideas?

Viva menorca is lovely, great kids club, good evening entertainment, very clean rooms, lifeguard. Its in cala n bosch which has lots of great restaurants, a waterpark, entertainment parks (with things like go carts and trampolines), and you can get the bus to nearby cuitedella which is a really nice city.

Also really like cala dor in majorca but no waterpark there.

Really at that age they will probably be in the pool all day making friends and want to meet back up with them at night at the hotel

Costa del Sol - heaps of really nice places to the West of Marbella. Cortijo Blanco in San Pedro is great for children and pretty close to the beach too. Avoid like the plague anywhere that is near Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Calahonda, La Cala, Riviera.

Lovely places I'd recommend would be Elviria, Santa Clara, San Pedro, Cancelada, Estepona. Banus is great, but I wouldn't stay there unless you look towards Nueva Andalucia - the noise levels in the summer months in Banus are high...
