Ideas for holiday with 4-5th month old baby

My husband and I would like to go on holiday with our baby girl in the next couple of months but we are a bit stuck for ideas on where to go. We have been on all kinds of holidays in the past from traveling around Argentina and Turkey by bus/car, city breaks and sometimes just lying by the pool for a week. I was wondering what are the limitations with a young baby? And what kinds of things are fun to do? I can't imagine just lying on the beach all day with the little one. She is breast fed which I guess makes things easier and has reacted pretty well to the short trips we have taken so far.

Any advice and ideas would be much appreciated.

Wave goodbye to those lovely couples holidays you had in the past where you just pitched up anywhere at any time and made do if you had to! You can be adventurous with a baby but it takes a lot of forward planning and research to get the right place. think nappies, baby milk, food blending (she may be on solids by then) boiled water, sterilising stuff the lot. i would suggest your first trip is somewhere not to exotic and you go for a week to give it a try. once you are confident it will be fine. As for lying by the pool my eldest is now 13 and i still havent managed that yet... plus my youngest always hated sand so beaches were out too!
