I hear that diff campsites attract diff types of people - how can we ensure that we opt for the classier option? - are their certain facilities or locations which would attract a rowdier crowd? considering la pachacaid - any experiences?

We stayed in a Tikki Hut one year - on Pampelonne beach. It was lovely! Trip Advisor gives La Pachacaid reasonably good reviews. It is a classy part of the world generally - with prices to match. Another to maybe look at is Prairies de La Mer. Right on the beach, lots going on, easy walk into Port Grimaud.

I stayed in Pachacaid a few years ago and it was my family's favourite campsite holiday, and we've stayed at 5 different sites in France over the years. The site is beautifully located and the terraced layout makes for wonderful views. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and slides. The weather was glorious and we came back home thoroughly rested. I'd definitely go again.

My family went to pashacaid for years and years but I haven't been there for about 12 years now. It's in a lovely part of the world and used to be pretty middle class I think. A mix of lots of European nationalities. We always stayed in a caravan not a tent though. I couldn't bear a tent. Also it's a very popular part of France and there used to be quite bad traffic. Worth it though imo
