Have previously stayed at Jumeirah beach which I love (tried Atlantis, didn't like) was going to book at JB for half term but crazily expensive and noticed this one which must be a newish one which is much cheaper.

Any recommendations?

Hi there. I haven't stayed there but went last week for dinner and it is beautiful. It is a loooonnnnngg way from downtown Dubai though, almost at the end of the western crescent. Much further than the Atlantis. Depends how much you will leave the hotel.

Thanks Betti. My concern was how far it will be from everything. We will want to go to Wild Wadi (apparently they do a free transfer service but don't want to spend ages on a bus with 3 DC) Also want to go to Mall of Emirates so I'm guessing that is quite a long way? That no doubt explains why it is so much more expensive that JB.

Prob 20 mins to Wild Wadi and less than 30 to MOE. Hotel is lovely, when it opened it was very much the domain of the rich local emiratis, ordinary people being turned away but it all seems to have settled down now. No idea how old your kids are but the Jumeirah sceairah was closed this week to be replaced by a new ride. Also WW is closed till Feb 1st (not sure when half term is).
FYI the RTA are doing a boat taxi service which goes from the marina around the Palm upto the Creek, its a fab trip, only started last week.

Thanks, have now booked to go to Atlantis (although wondering whether I've done the right thing as customer service was appalling last time) Bottom line however was Atlantis was over 700 pounds cheaper for 3 nights than the Jumeirah hotels Shock
