Alan Rogers Mobile Home holidays - anyone booked with them?

Hi
Has anyone booked to stay in south of France with Alan Rogers mobile homes? In particular Club International Eurosol (Saint Girons), Camping Lou Puntaou (Leon) or Camping Les Viviers (Cap Ferret)? Just wanted to know what the quality of accommodation was like. We are looking at going End of May/Beginning of June so also wondered how open the sites would be at that time of year.

Also looking at stopping off at their Village Parisien on the way down, if anyone has any experience of this.

Or if anyone has any better recommendations in these regions...

I know the mobile home subject has probably been done to death but my searches aren't bringing up any reference to anyone who has booked with Alan Rogers "Escapes" (as opposed to the Alan Rogers Guides).

Thanks

Hi,

It's great that you're looking to go camping this year, fantastic holiday for kids!
I've worked for Alan Rogers for the last 10 years, so can obviously recommend them. The reason why you can't get a search result for Escapes is because its a brand new product for 2012 (launched just before Christmas).

All the mobile homes are from the O'Hara group, all under 5 years old, modern, stylish and all with wooden terrace. I can personally vouch for them as we visited them last year on our annual staff trip to France!

The sites you are looking at are open end May/ June. Usually they have basic facilities open in low season, however as its half term the outdoor pools will open mid May (indoor pool is open all season), the animation / entertainment is usually only present in July and August though. I would recommend double checking once you decided on a site to avoid any disappointment.

For more information, Lisa in our reservations department is more than happy to help. Her email address is [email protected] and she'd be able to give you more advise.

Hope this has helped....

Thank you, Caffers...most helpful.

As long as the pools are open we are not that worried about the entertainment, though I guess that would mean that any children's clubs will also be closed - they get fed up with Mum and Dad's company after a while.

Poor Lisa will be fed up with my questions! I will make sure I mention your name but I guess that "Caffers21" will mean very little to her, unless she's also a MNer! :)

I don't suppose Alan Rogers is thinking of offering a discount to MNers? [cheeky emoticon]

Cheers

Hello,

I mentioned you to Lisa yesterday, and she's very good at answering questions and is more than happy to.. (my names Catherine btw).

I doubt the children's clubs will be open as they are usually just in high season (July / August). But I know what you mean, they can be a godsend!

Always worth asking about a discount - run it past Lisa - you never know!

:-)

Thank you so much, Caffers!

I will get on to Lisa tomorrow...DH home from working away tonight so we will look at those sites again and decide on one (or two) before we bombard her with questions :).

I will be sure to put a glowing review on MN.

Cheers
