Resort Near Barcelona (not Sitges)

We are flying to Barcelona in July and did have a villa booked in Sitges but unfortunately this has gone pear-shaped and the owner has cancelled the booking.

Have tried in vain to re-book in Sitges without any luck-can anyone recommend a quiet, pretty, family-friendly coastal resort within an hour of Barcelona.

Sitges is known for wild gay parties amongst other things, its lovely but i dont think "quiet family place" when I think sites

Cambrils? or somewhere up on the Costa Brava like St Feliu de Guixols -love it there.

you don't have wild gay parties in Sitges, it is on the contrary very family friendly. Tons of kids everywhere, shallow water, playground. dozens of nice restaurants... Yes there are more gay couples than averages, but that's it
