DH and I want to visit someone in Malvern in March/April for a day and want to work a UK holiday around it.

We'll have a 6 month old baby and a 3 year old.

If we book a cottage for a week, are we going to be bored? Are we better off making this a 3 night trip and staying in a hotel? Not that we can afford a separate room for the girls.

The more I think about travelling with children the more I feel like not bothering. Luckily we have a Spanish summer holiday booked with extended family so this trip would be a bonus extra.

It always sounds so idyllic when other people mention having spent a week in a cottage in the UK. It never sounds so appealing when I put me and my family in the situation.
