child friendly restaurant half way btwn barnsley & nottingham?

We need a meeting place to meet some friends, about halfway between barnsley and nottingham. Perhaps somewhere sheffield area, just south of meadowhall. Somewhere that does nice food and perhaps good for children. Any ideas?

Sorry also meant to say preferably not far off the M1 so about 30 min drive from each direction.

So somewhere to eat, rather than somewhere to play?

Hmmm...not sure. Will have a think. We just tend to go to cafes/coffee shops orpubs for meals in and around Sheffield and more the other side TBH.

Are you wanting a pub with soft play - that type of thing?

yeah, a pub with play area would be good; it would probably be a sunday. Don't know the area south of sheffield at all really, so fairly close once you come off the m1 would be ideal. ta!!

There is a Brewsters just off the M1 and J34 (Meadowhall junction). If you head into town direction, just after the retail park and opposite where the arena is - the Brewsters is on the main road, on your right. Has a soft play area inside and a playground outside.

On next to the retail park, on left, there is the Centertainment centre. Lots of restaurants of all kinds here. None with play areas though - but most do nice food.

On same road, right next to where Meadowhall turn is there is a TGI Fridays as well.

Also a Wacky Warehouse type pub at Junction 30 called the Treble Bob. About 1 min from the junction, follow signs to Chesterfield off the 1st roundabout at the second one its round to your right directly on the corner (by a McDonalds).
