Flying with formula

Planning on using cartons for the flight (ordering from Boots airside), but want to take a box of formula in the hold for when we're away in thailand. Can buy formula there, but different brands, and would rather have some to start off with to avoid spending Day One of the holiday in Boots or Tesco!
Can I take it? Or does it count as a food import? And do I need to pinprick the bags to stop them popping? Any other advice? Thanks Grin.

You can take containers of formula powdered milk in your suitcase without any problems.

Although make sure you bag the container as my friend had a container explode in her suitcase under the pressure and she had formula powder over absolutely everything!
