Got a week away from the ankle biter, need out and out r&r of the highest standard with DH! (keep telling him it will be a second honeymoon .

Thinking of 3 nights there...

Anyone been to Tresanton? Would it fit the bill do you think?

I hate fish, so that's not a draw for me, but love the seaside and blowing walks along the beach to blow away the cobwebs would be great.

hi - not stayed there but been for dinner & cream teas a few times- it's wonderful. its the kind of place with posh wellies you can borrow. lovely location, good walking, beach just in front and lots of boats for entertainment. the ferries to falmouth & to the other side of the estuary are good. great cornish pasties on the quayside - but you do have to get there early

You must go!!!!!!!!

I think they are the best hotel beds I have ever slept on! Great views, great people, great food, lovely town, fab for meandering, great walks. It will definitely fit the bill!

Don't worry about not eating fish, it's my mum's favourite hotel and she's allergic to fish!

It really is great.

PS: we also really like Driftwood just slightly up the coast. Again fab food, it has it's own beach, great walks. cake and tea is actually included in the price!

Ah yes, this is what I'd be doing with a child-free weekend!

how did you get the upgrade? We always get upgraded abroad, but never in the uk!

desperatehousewife · 16/01/2006 09:23

cos we are going mid week and it's obviously a little thin on the ground with guests then!
