I'm looking for some ideas to entertain my 2 boys on a midweek afternoon in E1 London. Ideally somewhere indoors or with something indoors and with somewhere we can have dinner or food around 5pm. It feels a bit like mission impossible because of the timing and transport. I found Spitalfields farm but it closes at 4pm, but that looked great.

What about the Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green? It has (or used to many years ago when the DC were pre-school) have toys for children to play with.

that looks great, i know someone who went recently so will check with them. do you think there's enough to entertain kids for 3hrs? mine would happily spend hours going up and down lifts/escalators!

Museum of childhood is great but just for couple of hours . The museum of London is excellent with lifts and lots of doors to open and close !
