good foodie pub in the Malvern Hills?

Can anyone recommend somewhere for a nice lunch in the Malvern Hills area? We're planning to walk between (roughly) Hollybush and Great Malvern, and would like to find a really good pub either en route or at either end. Have googled but haven't found anywhere that seems particularly good for food yet. Thanks.

Is there a rule about the number of times you can bump your own thread? Grin

Wish i knew! We had a wonderful walk on the Malverns not long ago but were boracic so our luxury weekend away concluded with a Londis sandwich and a night at the Worcester Travelodge [glamour]

Will watch with interest...

Ooh thank you! Guarlford isn't the perfect location but it's possible.

Any other suggestions for somewhere a bit south of Great Malvern?

Well we always used to like The Chase, it's on the side of the hill above Colwall.

My disclaimer is that I haven't actually lived in Malvern for 11 years (holy crap, just workled that one out Shock )

Thanks, will look up The Chase. Colwall may be a better location.
