Can anyone recommend a site in the vendee that suits all our needs? Pool, playground and fishing a must!

Dh an I are arguing about where to book for our August holiday.

I want to book Le Littoral or Le Clarys Plage.

Dh wants a fishing lake Hmm

I want a pool, slides, park, kids stuff, restaraunt/take away etc. basically all singing all dancing iyswim.

We have been to La Garangeoire before which was ideal tbh, but, would prefer to try somewhere else.

Can anyone help?

DC will be 12, 7 and 2.5.

Thanks.

Oh, and we will be taking our own tent.

Have a look at Camping Les Biches. The site has its own lake about 1.5km away from the campsite which is free. There are also ample facilities for kids including swimming pools and slides.
The site also has a small restaurant, takeaway and bar. The only otherone i can think is La Foret at St Julien Des Landes but that one is quite small and the pool doesn't look as good. Hope it helps

Thanks very much.

I will certainly look at that.

Le litteral would be perfect but bloody dh insists on fishing!

here is lovey - really nice location and fab pool. need a car to drive to beaches etc but you can walk into the village with everything you need. Campsite is hilly (you can request to be on the flat by hte pool though) but views from the terraced pitches are goregous and when we went there was a mini farm whoch wasn't advertised.

Would not recommend le clarys plage. Stayed there for a few nights in aug 2010. Very noisy and the area it was in a bit "grotty". Pool was ok but that was it ! There are definitely nicer areas to stay.
