How cheap?

merlin · 03/01/2012 21:01

Well, as cheap as poss - but of course I would say that! Not necessarily a full week, perhaps a short break so maybe £500 tops?

Thanks all for suggestions.

Jen - your gite looks fabulous but unfortunately but if I factor in ferry crossings etc it's not such a bargain! Perhaps another time!

No worries - I hope you find somewhere suitable Smile

Cottages4you are good.

If you looking at North England then Cumbrian Cottages are good too and their other companies eg yorkshire, peak district.

Another option is to look at the area in the tourist board website eg English one,
sometimes its even worth making lots of phone calls to accomodation with no web booking system, just telephone as they are likely to be cheaper (less easy to book) and available.
