Hello, I am laid up in bed ill
so m consoling myself by thinking about holidays. We are thinking of going away just after Easter (mid-April) and our wishlist includes:
Sunshine and warmth!
History and culture
a good swimming pool
a good beach
not too much driving (nearish to an airport - don't fancy spending hours in a car - would prefer not to hire a car at all)
Dc are 7 and 9, and like spending holidays in swimming pools and on beaches, with some cultural / historical stuff thrown in (they love cathedrals and the suchlike).
So far I've looked at the Keycamps site and like the look of Rome / Tuscany, or Spain - but not sure about how warm they would be in April? Also thought about Egypt - but is that still too unstable politically?
I'd be v. grateful for any ideas!
