Thanks!

Last time I was in Hungary which was a year ago they would only accept Florints. We had lunch in a town right on the Austrian/Hungarian border only 50km from Vienna where, if anywhere, you would think they would welcome the euro but we had to pay in Florints.

I was there during the summer. Prices were quoted in euros and florints, but the currency accepted was florints, expect in big hotels where they would take euros.

Ooooh, go to the swimming pool in the City Park. It has a fabulous bit where the water swirls round an inner pool. You just put your feet up and swirl round and round. All heated by geothermal energy. We had to drag dd out after 3 hours!

Can't remember about the money sorry - think it was Hungarian

Not generally but there are lots of money changing places that you can change your Euros to Forints (also know as Huf).

When are you coming?

northerner · 13/01/2006 20:18

Oh sadly it's not for me. It's for some clients.

I've never been but it looks beautiful.
