Easter 2012 - Looking for a villa near to Disneyland

We'd like a pool, 3 bedrooms in a safe area that's not isolated, but about 10 mins drive from Disney.
Which companies would you recommend? We're not confident travellers, I want a package deal to include flight, transfers and accomodation.
Any tips?

Packages are easily 25% more than pulling it together yourself plus with many you book a villa rather than a specific villa and it can be a bit hit and miss. We have just come back having not had a holiday abroad for 15+ years so it was all new to us. We flew British Airways - easiest check in and booking managing on line than i thought possible. we bought 2 travel books - beyond disney and disney with kids 2011 which were fab. paid for all park tickets etc on line before we went - again a doddle to do. we stayed at sunset lakes which was only 10 minutes door to door to the main disney parks. be brave and pull it together yourself and you will save money and get exactly what you want. please private message me for more info if you want.

Hard to find a private villa that close to Disney. Have you considered an apartment? American aparthotels are decent. We've stayed in various ones and the apartments have always been spacious and well equipped.

Look at Floridays, Sheraton Villa Vistana, Caribe Cove, lake Bunea Vista Resort and Spa. Or just have a look at the top 30-ish on trip advisor.

Have a look at vrbo.com , villas2000.com , ownersdirect.co.uk or the one we stayed in was #129691 on the vrbo.com website but to be honest we had masses of choice. This villa was genuinely 10 mins from disney and had a lovely swimming pool all of its own.

Am guessing you mean DisneyWorld Florida and not Disneyland Paris.

If Paris, doubt you'd get a private villa close by.
If Florida, you would easily get a private villa close by, not sure why Boxingbiddy is saying it would be hard?

I can recommend this villa on owners direct www.ownersdirect.co.uk/usa/F1895.htm It is less than 4 miles to World Drive and about 15 mins to Seaword and Universal. Like most luxury villas out there, it has a private pool and also a games room.

Alternatively, for more choice, have a look at Loyalty Homes, a company based 4 miles from Disney which is run by an english lady who only manages luxury properties within 4 miles of Disney. There are literally hundreds available.

It would be much cheaper for you to book flights, car hire and villas independantly. It is easy enough to do but if you want it all booked together you will have to go to a travel agent.

You might find however that you have left it a bit late for flights for Easter 2012, most sensible people as soon as flights released, so around 11 months in advance

Sorry, yes I meant Florida. I see how it could be misconstrued, it wasn't very clear! Blush

was just checking Wink a lot of people get confused.
Have you had a proper look yet. Honestly, you ought to check availability of flights first.

Agree with mos. get your flights booked now. we went on ba and were very happy with it but it was the same price as virgin. travelled on a thursday and it was much cheaper. if you want easter 2012 then you need to crack on with it now as it is when it starts to get busy. villas etc are easy the web is full of them flights not so.
