Any ideas for where we could go for a fun, interesting family holiday with our 8 and 9 year old around Easter? For the last 3 years we've had a big, long-haul holiday, at Easter visiting Japan, South Africa and California, then a simple gite holiday in France in the summer. This year we want to keep it shorter and cheaper, but still interesting - not a pool/beach slump. So - up to one week, no more than about 4 hours flight, and flights not much more than a couple of hundred pounds or so each. Istanbul? Morocco? Somewhere else? What do you think?
There needs to be plenty to do - and not just long hikes, much as I would love that, the children are not keen. Good weather would be a bonus - but doesn't have to be particularly hot.
