Corfu - any suggestions for a great villa with pool? Or similar?

Hi - DH, DS and I are looking to go to Corfu for two week holiday in May. DS will be 8months by then. We want to go selfcatering but want something a bit special, nicer than the normal S/C apartments. We want a place with a pool but also want to be near a sandy beach. We don't want to be with the 'lads, birds, eggs n chips' brigade but want there to be nice restaurants etc with family friendly type service. Can anyone recommend a great villa or s/c apartment?

Doesn't Nissaki only have a shingle beach though? Would ideally love a sandy beach.

yes , the sandly beaches are over teh other side. we used to hire boats and go off for the day.

Do many people go with their kids?
What are the facilities like inside the villa?

How are the mosquitoes? I know its a greek island but in some places I get bitten alive so try and avoid places if its a real problem.

yes there are kids there. perhaps older rather than littles. mosqitoes are everywhere isn Greece. jsujt need to wear stuff
