Christmas holidays in south of England

Have the started already? Met a man in the swimming pool the other day with his 4 kids and he said they were off on holiday already had been since Friday. Seems pretty early, so are some schools off or are they maybe HE or something?

In East Sussex, we don't break up until tomorrow.

Public schools here ended last Friday.... Was in ikea today and there were a few kids there!
