Hi, My dd's birthday is so close to christmas that we thought we would have a christmassy day out in London. Great idea but bit stuck on exact logistics! Ideas so far are Somerset House but I think she will be too young to skate and it's probably sold out anyway, Winter Wonderland or Natural History Museum. Just not sure what would be most fun for a toddler at this time of year- any ideas would be a great help, thanks

Hamleys!
Christmas lights on south molten St are good this year
Aquarium - book online in advance
Or simply a big red bus! Escalators and tubes!
I'm not one for museums with kids.
Mine love chasing pidgeons on trafalgar sq!!

Thanks May Day - Trafalgar Square it is - can see the tree then over to Somerset House to watch the ice skaters. All free so doesn't matter if 2 year old not too interested! Then off to a good pub for family lunch - perfect!!

mayday has brought back some brilliant Christmas memories for me. When I was little my mum used to pick us up from school, take us up to London to have a look round Hamelys - the model train set up was brilliant, we used to look at the lights, meet dad from work, have egg and chips for tea and end up in Trafalgar Square to sing Christmas carols round the tree. If we were lucky we also got to meet Father Christmas there as well. Although, years later my mum confessed that she had to steer us very carefully round the square because there were about half a dozen Santas wandering around Trafalgar Square.
