Help DH has turned his nose up at staying in a £10 travle lodge and going to Legoland etc. He wants sunshine. I have told him he will have to pay then as I thought I was doing well getting a week near London for £70 (see travel lodge thread).

Where do you recommend for a package deal in Easter holidays where I am not going to be surrounded by lager louts and trainee 10yrold neds. I want peace and quite and things to visit nearby. Is it to much to ask, I am not a sunbather and don't own shorts. Like the idea of Landrover safaris and stuff like that. Budget £1000 for 4 courtesy of the credic card .

How about a citybreak somewhere?

Prague is nice but is full of jobs on stag weekends. Bruges is good for choccies/beer

Or Berlin - get on the autobahns with no speed limits!

We went to Palma one Easter and had loads of rain - not usual though apparently. Have had mixed weather in S of France - not warm enough for swimming for me but kids did it. Warm enough for lunch outside. Egypt? Malta?

No nothing still banging my head of the desk, £676 for Puerto Rico is the best so far.

I quite like the idea of a villa, is that impossible for my budget?
