Recommendations for accomodation and or resort near to Rome?

I have found some flights I want to book to Rome for the school summer holidays - after some sightseeing we would like to go to the coast and stay in, if possible an apartment - does anyone know of any good websites for accomodation or could recommend a property

Hope you have good stamina. Not trying to put you off but we went to Rome in early Dec with ds(3), really enjoyed it but can't imagine ever going there in the summer. It was busy enough off season, add more crowds to the heat and I would definetly give it a miss and head straight to the countryside (I'm told the coast isn't that great).

We went to Rome summer of 2005. Stayed in the camping site's bungalows (2 bedroom both en suite, air con, kitchen, lovely verandah, and just 3km from the vatican. I would definately recomend!!! Oh, and it was only 110 EUROS per night.
