Help me choose hotels for a twin centre holiday - st lucia and barbados

I am looking at coconut bay for st lucia but smugglers cove also looks nice but im really struggling to choose barbados hotels, im looking at one of the almond resorts - opinions please (my dc's are 10, 9 and 6)

I went to almond smugglers cove in st Lucia and would recommend it . We actually did a twin centre but stayed in two different places in st Lucia. First near Reduit beach self catering , did lots of trips ate out at different restaurants and saw a bit of the real Caribbean . Then second part smugglers cove where we chilled and used all the facilities. Did a similar thing in Cuba as well. My friends stayed at almond casaurina and had a great time.

My first stop for choosing hotels is to look on Trip Advisor and read reviews of ones I am interested in.
Then ask on the forums ( like the Barbados forum ) if I need more help, or send private messages from people who have written reviews for more info.

We have not had any hotel disappointments doing this. I would never book a hotel without checking reviews on TA first.
