Hi lisalisa, I live just up the road from Ilford in Chadwell Heath. There is a Valentines Park which runs from Cranbrook Road in Gants Hill all the way down to Ilford. It's very large with quite a nice children's play area and ducks to feed. There is also a little cafe which serves basic food - chips and ice cream There is a soft play centre on the other side of Ilford on the way to Seven Kings - can't think of the name but is on the main High Road run near to the Swimming Baths. Gants Hill has loads of places to eat iirc. Will you have transport?

Hi Pinotmum.

Bubbaloo - have been thinking of you?!!! How are you? I haven't seen you about at all! How is DS?

Bubbaloo · 07/01/2006 22:30

How funny-I was also thinking I hadn't seen you about lately either.
We're fine thanks. Can't believe ds is nearly 7 months already and I'm going back to work in March.
How are you and Ds? When are you moving? Still shopping in Romford?.

Flossam · 07/01/2006 22:34

Haven't been to Romford for ages actually, not since DP first got the car in Nov. I seriously do not know where the time goes. He leaves for Bristol at the end of the month. I'm waiting on a job interview and house stuff before handing in notice etc, although had better get a move on - apparently I need to give 8 weeks!!

Going back to work might not be too bad - still two months away and a lot can change in that time. I went back when DS was 8 months, and although I did dread it, when I got there, I actually kind of enjoyed it! Where will DS go?

Bubbaloo · 07/01/2006 22:54

I'm sure I'll be fine when I go back as I do actually enjoy my job-it's very interesting!
Just not looking forward to the travelling again and getting up at 5am,when I'm on the early shift.I'm only going to be working a couple of days a week so mum will have him, which has worked out nicely.
