Now, this sort of thread is how we can spot fellow MN people in public.

If you walk down the street with a sign saying:

Hnok i fyuol voe MN!

Only people who can read it will honk! And only MN folks will be able to read it.

I agree with your point, cod, we have this request several times a week.

ggg, I thought you were cod there. Excellent faking it! Much better than my attempt.

JackieNo · 06/01/2006 14:21

I'd buy a bumper sticker that said 'Hnok i fyuol voe MN' (actually maybe not. Anyway my car is so dirty nobody'd ever be able to read it). Maybe it could have the bat on it too.

NotQuiteCockney · 06/01/2006 14:23

Bumper sticker much better idea than a sign.

Do people actually honk for things in the UK? Or is that just a North American thing?

mojomummy · 06/01/2006 14:43

Cod, why don't you do it if it bothers you so much ?

RTKangaMummy · 06/01/2006 15:00

(it almost seems off-topic to be posting an actual tip but here goes)
top tip:
ask a newsagent for the freebies from unsold childrens magazines - most give them away or will sell them at a small price. Produce these at intervals during the flight. Children love new things, miniture things and breaking things, these fit all the requirements. I got mini playdough kits, small colouring books, little puzzles etc before and the DS's loved them.
very important footnote: get rid of the whistles/trumpets first.
