We are wanting to go to New England in June with DS who is 2, however loads of holiday companies but where do we start? anybody got any ideas or been to the area?
Would like a really nice house with pool if poss or by the water. We will need to hire a car too. There are companies that seem to do all inclusive - flighs, car and house, the properties look fantastic but very expensive.all advice apreciated!

Individual Travellers Company?

flossythesheep · 06/01/2006 14:45

These all look fantastic. Jahn, this site is just what I was looking for and I really fancy some of the places on your link , however they are a bit pricy for just 2adults and a 2 year old.

Do you know of any simular ones?

You may find it cheaper to sort it all out yourselves? This site is good for property rentals. I think renting a place in New England in June can be pricey though. Early June is better than late, as the kids aren't out of school yet, then. (Weather will be cooler, though, obviously.)

thanks this site looks great, have you used them?

ooh love New England but only stayed in hotels, inns and b and b's

NotQuiteCockney · 06/01/2006 16:12

I've used vrbo, for Canadian places.

It's worth noting, though, you are renting from individuals, not from the site. It's just an advertising site for people renting out homes.

That being said, I've had no problems, even paying deposits ahead of time etc etc.

NQC, your link looks great, esp for eg Manhattan and Brooklyn (didn't look much further just now). Have bookmarked it.

It's a good site. There are other, similar ones out there, This one is good for France, or anywhere French people would go. It's in English, too, though.
