Can anyone recommend a nice family hotel near Lindos on Rhodes?

A friend of mine is getting married in Rhodes next August and we're looking to stay for a week, a few days before the wedding, and a few days after, as it'll also be our family holiday. We don't mind hiring a car, I don't mind doing self catering either, or half board at a hotel. I'm not keen on the massive tower block hotels, but to be honest I think beggars can't be choosers. Esp considering how expensive Greece is these days what with 23% vat etc. Not fussed about kids clubs etc. Really it's a place to lay our heads, though I would prefer something 3* upwards.

whats your budget? we stayed at a fab villa just outside lindos in very quiet resort with fab beach. if you just want somewhere to sleep though it might not be what you are looking for, was 1.5k last year. let me know if you are interested and i'll hunt the details out

Hmmm, sound lovely but I fear that's a bit too much for us. I was hoping to get something for less than £1000. It's actually looking like such an expensive wedding that dd and I might have to go without ds and dh (dd and I are bridesmaids) unless I can find an absolute steal.
