One day in Oxford...

Dd (aged 7) and I have one day to kill (so to speak) in Oxford next week. Any ideas what we could do? Had thought about Pitt Rivers museum although I don't know much about it apart from what the website says but would welcome more suggestios. Dd is sporty, loves animals, has a short concentration span and we don't have much cash and are reliant on public transport.
Ta muchly

Thanks Furball. That looks fun.
I'm sure we'll also hit the shops as well (dd has told me that she 'needs' a new hat, glove and scarf Hmm ).
Any more ideas anyone?

Hope I am not too late and you are already on your way!!! I would recommend Oxford Castle. It is an easy walk from the railway station, and there is lots to see- there are guides in period costumes who take you round- ours was really child friendly and pitched the tour just right to keep the children interested. The only downside is that it is quite pricey- but I think there are vouchers available on the internet if you do a search.
