Looking for a family friendly B&B in Lancashire

We're looking for a child firendly B&B in Lancashire so that we can go and visit the PILs - preferably somewhere that offers dinner as well. Any ideas please? TIA

baublerock helps run a great childfriendly b & b in Cental Blackpool, if that's any use?

Janh · 31/12/2005 17:25

Which bit of Lancs ideally?

terryschonkyorange · 31/12/2005 17:34

Anywhere rural really. PILs are in Bolton, but we're quite happy to travel for up to an hour (we'll see PILs on the Sat, and then have a day out and about on the Sunday).

Having said that, we wouldn't rule out Blackpool. I haven't been since I was 12

Well lots of MNers have been to baublerock's and loved it

There are some nice ones where I am (Clitheroe, about 30 mins from Bolton) but can't give personal rec (cos I live here, haven't used them!)

Sounds great - will try and get in touch with baublerock. Thanks

Have just recollected that she is normally called bubblerock, oops! (Was wondering why I couldn't find any threads with her hotel on - that's her Christmas name )

This is her hotel

Janh · 31/12/2005 18:04

Oh - looks as if they are closed for bookings until Easter now (but try getting in touch anyway!)

bubblerock · 31/12/2005 18:11

oops - just seen this, we're not actually open until Easter, because we have the kids we don't do tinsel and turkey and without that up here it's not really worth being open, so Mums temping, I'm Mumsnetting and Stu will hopefully be temping after new year (he's driving me mad at home all the time!!!)

Take a look on Laterooms we advertise on there because you can check availability and book online.

Keep us in your phone book (01253 297705) though Chonky - we are very child friendly and we'd love to see you another time

Depending on when you wanted to stay there are some £26 rooms left with travel lodge they have to be booked 7 days in advance. £10 rooms need to be booked 21 days in advance. Maybe you could find one next to a wacky warehouse type place where you can have dinner. HTH

bubblerock · 31/12/2005 18:12

Thanks Janh! Have a good new years eve

terryschonkyorange · 31/12/2005 18:19

Awww, that's a shame, your place looks great. I'll definitely keep your number though, as we're looking for a regular place to stay from time to time as the PILs are not getting any younger and it's easier if we do flying visits.

Thanks everyone

ps - love the website

Your hotel looks fab!

We are thinking about going away for a night or 2 in May for ds's birthday!

Will be writing your number in our book

bubblerock · 31/12/2005 18:49

The website was 100% free to create & host so I'm pretty pleased with it!

Janh · 31/12/2005 18:52

You're welcome, br - Happy New Year to you too - hope you are enjoying having your house to yourselves

bubblerock · 31/12/2005 18:54

Definately, just had a lovely chinese (meal that is) - last pig out before the healthy eating plan, kids are almost ready for bed then it's ma and DH in front of the TV trying to eat all the naughty stuff left from Xmas
