Help me plan two days in Barcelona

We have just booked a fortnight next summer in the South of France - just over the Spanish border. We are planning to fly to Barcelona and spend two nights there first. I have never been before and DH has only been on stag weekends so not really sightseeing. By then the DC will be 8 and 5. Any great tips or recommendations?

Parc Guell, the aquarium on the seafront at the bottom of the Ramblas. Cable car ride over the harbour to the olympic park. The funfair on Monjuic (I think....) It's on the mountain that overlooks the city. Nou Camp football stadium. The beach. The Sagrada Familia. Lots of tapas. The zoo and the city park. Loads to do! I love Barcelona! Can I come?

The last 2 times we went, we stayed here Fab spot just off Las Ramblas close to the Placa Catalunya. We got the train from the airport and walked there.

There is an open top bus tour that drops you at the main attractions.

Love Barcelona too. Bus tour to see all the main sights, and the one I'd add to Putrifyno's list is the science centre with its 1km of rainforest. We spent ages watching the giant fish.
