I'm planning a little jaunt via £10 Travelodge soon & would appreciate any personal experience. I'm not planning on staying near and airport FWIW, someone city central, don't care about view out, will be using as a base only.

Mine are
Top two:

  1. Stafford Central, Hough Retail Park
  2. London Covent Garden 10 Drury Lane

Bottom: Liphook A3 By-Pass - seriously don't stop - keep on driving !
Also the Brighton sea front one was a bit of a let down.

Have only ever stayed in one (this summer) because it accepted our dog. Travelodge Waterside in Bath - it's very close to the town and right next to Bath Spa train and bus stations (although we didn't hear any noise - our room was on the lake side). It worked out well for us as a base, and was perfect for lovely walks along the river into town. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed at the Covent garden one in the summer. First room had a blocked sink so asked to move ( moved room , no problem ) stayed 2 nights . Clean sheets , clean room and bathroom . Hot room ,no aircon and can't open window, country girl here , need open window at night !
Very busy , very central . The best thing according to DD age 14 was the ben and jerries ice cream vending machine !
Not the most luxurious hotel I've ever stayed in . Cheap and cheerful and would be happy to use it again.
Now , anyone stayed at the Kings Cross one ? as we're there tomorrow !

One to avoid - grafton Hereford. Looks lovely from outside, room was filthy, and bathroom stank of urine and floor hadn't be cleaned.

Just back from Travelodge Kings Cross Royal Scot.
Was perfectly acceptable.
Walking distance from Kings Cross Station.
Had 2 x triple rooms , the room at the front of hotel quite noisy , across the corridor much quieter.
Rooms were a bit shabby ( paintwork a bit patchy , damaged bathroom door )
Would use it again.

Brighton one near station is awful. We complained and they gave us a full night's refund in Feb this year. We used it for two nights at the Lowestoft one which is quite nice. Would definitely use it again for cheap accommodation.
