Sorrento hotel recommendation ?

I'm looking for a not too expensive, family run hotel in Sorrento, 3 stars would be fine, it doesn't have to have all mod cons. A view of the bay would be nice :) Has anyone been, any recommendations ? Thanks.

Only just found this thread -we have stayed at the Minerva before -top of the hill , family run , comfortable clean rooms with the most amazing views .
Really love the amalfi coast .

Love Sorrento.we stayed at hotel vittoria

If coccyx means the Excelsior Vittoria we stayed there about 21 years ago! Lovely hotel on the clifftop, great location, a former palace I believe, but was very expensive!
It had a lift down to the sea and jetty.

we stayed at the hotel eden - 3 star - was fine, as is the carlton. i got married in sorrento another year and stayed at the capodimonte which is lovely but more expensive.

We had one week of our honeymoon in Sorrento but that was in 1983!
We stayed in the Tramontano.
