St Ives Bay Holiday Park meets all your criteria - we go every year and love it - the beach is fabulous. The A6 bungalows have 3 beds and are high quality accomodation

Polzeath is an excellent beach in Cornwall, so somewhere near there perhaps....

I am with fimac1 St Ives Bay was gorgeous we had a fantastic holiday it has so much to do & is right on the beach (gorgeous beach too) It is also a very very clean site which is high on our list when going away

this place is lovely

fimac1, would you rate ALL the accommodation on St Ives Bay? I see there is a "Mermaid" caravan. Do you know what they are like and if so would you recommend them?

Surfermum · 07/01/2006 15:44

We've been to St Ives Bay too. We were just talking this morning about what a lovely holiday it was and are thinking about going again. We opted for one of the caravans with a sea view and had no complaints.

Bonkerz or others would you recommend devon/ cornwall for April?

Surfermum · 07/01/2006 19:22

I'd go any time of year to be honest! I was in Cornwall last week and it was fab if a little chilly!

Coathanger · 07/01/2006 19:25

How about Riviere Sands holiday park. Its right on the dunes down to the gorgeous sandy beach and its only a short way from St Ives. We had a great holiday there 2 years ago and would love to go back. this is it!

DH really wants a relaxing holiday somewhere warm but I am struggling to find something we can afford.

MaryBS · 07/01/2006 19:37

Do you have to go in school holidays? If you don't, it might be worth a look at the Canary Islands, if your budget can stretch to it

Skribble · 07/01/2006 21:24

No it has to be school holidays, Scottish dates. I might try and get a cheap deal in the first 2 week of the Summer holidays as the dates are different to English. Often means flying from an English airport but we will see. I am going to collect the Sun vouchers and get a short break for October orgainised, probably somewhere in Scotland so I don't have far to go for just a 4 night break.
