yes, there's always a massive party by the river with fireworks etc but you need tickets as it gets packed. They're free - you might be able to get them online if your lucky..otherwise there's stuff going on all around the city centre and you can go further up the quayside and watch the fireworks from a distance. What hotel you staying at? There on right by the river, can't remember what it's called though (sorry hungover)

Local to what - the city centre? I am, but not as much as I was pre-baby. Had a lovely batchelorette pad in town. The Travelogde sound great, it's right by the river too! I might go there myself! So were you just visiting?

LOL. Ahh, the Chilli Road student ghetto! I used to live just above the Indian takeaway near the Chilli pub. I worked in the Chilli for a time too!
