Hi All

We are thinking of going to Le Bois Du Valmerie in August 2012 and would really welcome reviews from anyone who has been there. Have 3 children ages 12, 7 and 5 so need good pool complex and near to a sandy beach which this campsite seems to have.
For us adults we want a quiet campsite ( not Butlins equivalent in France) which is a reason we picked a small campsite.
If you have been - please let me know if you booked direct with site, with siblu or someone else. We want a 3 bed mobile.

Thanks - look forward to your comments

Hi Suzy, we went to Le Bois de Valmerie 5 years ago, it was really lovely. It's quiet, a bit hilly but not too much, with a fab pool complex with slides and fake rocks etc.. A nice restaurant and a little shop and across the road from the beach, which is that big grain sand IIRC. Lovely area - Coulliore (sp) beautiful which is next town down coast. We also drove to Barcelona from there which was approx 2 hours away.

We booked through Eurocamps but they don't do that park now. Hope this helps. :)

Hi Amimagic

Thanks for letting me know. Most reports on trip adviser are good too.
Have taken the plunge and booked direct with campsite which was cheaper than using a tour operator and arrival and departure dates were totally flexible as long as we booked a minimum of 7 nights. All done on-line.
The price per night halves from 25th August !
In the time it has taken me to decide they had run out of 3 bed mobiles for the dates we wanted so had to upgrade for the 3 bed cottage. More expensive but bit bigger and has 2 loos/ showers ! :)
